Do

  • Make sure the copy and photo are balanced within the hero unit. A two-line heading, two lines of descriptive text, and a photo that has a ratio of 3:2 work best.

Don’t

  • Don't put portrait-sized or square-shaped photos in the hero. The photo should have an aspect ratio of 4:3 or 3:2.
  • Don't overload one side of the hero unit with too much copy or a tall photo, causing the content to become off-balance.
